If you look closely enough

AP PhotoWhat you are not seeing in this picture is the half-dozen marine guns pointed at his head and a major demanding that he smile "just the right amount."

My prediction is that we will learn that we have OBL in custody, and that we have HAD him in custody since shortly after 9/11.

This will be a parting middle-finger from the Bush Administration to the Dimocrats and their allies in the Drive-By Media (DBM).

The expression on his face LOOKS like he knows that he is doomed.

A Minor Oversight

From Yahoo.com,

KATHMANDU (Reuters) - Explorers have discovered a series of caves decorated with ancient Buddhist paintings, set in sheer cliffs in Nepal's remote Himalayan north, leaving archaeologists excited and puzzled.

An international team of scholars, archaeologists, climbers and explorers examined at least 12 cave complexes at 14,000 feet near Lo Manthang, a mediaeval walled city in Nepal's Mustang district, about 125 km (80 miles) northwest of Kathmandu.

The caves contain paintings that could date back as far as the 13th century, as well as Tibetan scripts executed in ink, silver and gold and pre-Christian era pottery shards.

"Who lived in those caves? When were they there, when were (the caves) first excavated and how did the residents access them, perched as they are on vertical cliffs?" asked Broughton Coburn, an American member of the survey team.

"It's a compelling, marvelous mystery."

Explorers from the United States, Italy and Nepal used ice axes and ropes to climb to the caves, cutting steps in the cliff face as they went.

If you ask me, the "monks" made these caves BACK when the earth's water table was MUCH higher and accessing these caves was less of a chore!  Isn't this what Algore or L Ron Gore likes to have us believe?  Wait-a-minute!  Just because the earth's ocean levels MAY flood the earth in the future, doesn't mean that they have in the past!  This L Ron Gore principle flies in the FACE of accepted environmental philisophy today.

My tiny brain can't remember the term, but there is one to describe the assumption that scientists make that there are no differences in the environment today versus the environment of the past.  Things are as they are now today because it is how they were back then.  Again, my little brain can't remember what this term is, but it DOES remember reading about it in a science book from either middle school or high school.  If any of you can remember this term, don't be shy about it!  Share it with me!

He consumes paper like he consumes power!

This is Algore's office in Tennessee!  Is THIS the office of someone who is concerned with the health of the world's rain forests?  Look at all that paper!  You would think that someone with THREE monitors on his desk would be demanding that his clients/associates send him electronic versions of the paperwork with which he needs to deal.  Granted, you are burning electrons in THAT particular process, but the media like to tell us that consuming electricity is better than consuming paper products.

Is that a rainbow frog on Algore's wall?  We ALL know what the rainbow means, right?  *laughter*

Elections '08

My father would refer to this as "interesting."

What we have here is "failure" to communicate.  Some men you just can't reach.  What do you think the Stock Market will think if we get a Dim in the Whitehouse at the end-of-'08?  You are going to see MASSIVE selling on the afternoon of November 2, 2008 if the Dims are looking like they are going to take back the White House and the third branch of the U.S. government that has eluded them since GWB assumed control early in '00.

The media will spin this as the result of the Republicans controling the government for SO long and the END of Newt's Revolution which he started in '94 and that a change-of-control doomed the economy once the Dims came back.  Well, THAT is not the issue.  If THIS were the case, the market would have shot through-the-roof in '02 at the election of Billy Bob Clinton.  The market skyrocketed AFTER Newt's efforts bore fruit in '94, not prior, yet the Dims still give credit to Billy Bob - not Newt!

The Street will be selling, should the election work this way, because you will have a single party in control of both the legislative and executive branches of the government, and the Street does NOT approve of such a situation.  We can go back to Carter in the late '70s, Clinton in the early '90s, or Bush in the mid '00s.  Granted, it took six years of GWB's presidency for the people to throw his republican party out of the legislature, but the Dims will dismiss that as an effect of 9/11.

No one knew there were Republicans while Carter was in office.  So they were not a threat back then.  The people gave Carter the boot once they realized that an election involves a CHOICE, and the election of Reagan saw the birth of the contemporary Republican party.

The reason why the Dims are kicking and screaming about the War Funding bill is that what have they got to show for the effort should GWB decide to start pulling troops out of Iraq BEFORE the '08 elections ramp up?  The way it's sitting now, should this happen, the Dims will be able to say,

"Wait a minute!  We tried to pull troops out of Iraq in '07, but you said, 'no,' Mr. President."

All this kicking and screaming by the Left is nothing more than a little CYA from the crybabies on the Left.  They want to make sure that they look like they were TRYING to "end" the war before Bush tried to "end" the war.

Crud, this made more sense in my brain earlier this morning, but one of the issues doesn't seem to be making it into this explanation.

So, those of you out there who want to see the economy keep chugging along, keep a Republican behind-the-desk in the Oval Office.  This act will keep Wall Street happy and the terrorists awake at night.

How much longer until the libs start blaming oil wells for tsunamis?

How much longer until the liberals in the Western world start blaming the oil industry for the tsunamis that seem to be occurring more often these days than they have EVER in the past?

Two tsunamis in nearly three years!  How long until the mental giants in the liberal democratic party start putting the pieces together and explain that it is we humans who are making these events more severe by removing the lubrication that Mother Earth uses to lubricate the plates.  Since we are "harvesting" this lubrication, the events are becoming more severe and killing more people in more drastic events.

The fact that most people in the third-world don't know how to swim leads me to another crazy conclusion.  Perhaps these liberals need to start demanding that the U.N. provides swimming lessons for the third world!  Which option makes more sense from a financial perspective?  *laughter*

Whom Will Our New Blowhard-in-Chief Support for President?

A question that no one in-the-media seems to be answering is whom, among the democratic candidates, does Nancy Pelosi support?  We're given the impression, by the media, that this woman has the ability to negotiate with foreign countries.  Someone needs to show me where in the constitution it is that states that the house leader has that ability.

Not only that, but she is lying to Syria when she tells them that Israel is ready-to-negotiate.  What nerve!

Would she support Hillary?  Would she support Obama?  My tiny brain can't decide!  If she's the Hillary-type, then she is fighting the Queen-Bee issue.  If she like Obama, then she has the WEIGHT of Hillary and her supporters working against her, and her days as a "conscious" house leader may be numbered.

It's a lose-lose.  Someone, please get me some popcorn!

It's the SIN of Pride!

Here is the lead paragraph from a Yahoo story,

BRUSSELS, Belgium - An international global warming conference approved a report Friday warning of dire threats to the Earth and to mankind — from increased hunger to the extinction of species — unless the world adapts to climate change and halts its progress.

Sure!  Global warming is a threat!  However, is it a threat that we humans can control?  Do we humans have control of the sun?  Heck, most of us barely have control of our cars on the way to and from work!  Again, do we humans have the ability to control what the sun does?

IMHO, No.  The warming (AND COOLING) of the earth is a cyclic function, and there is nothing that we, as humans, can do about it.  It is even sillier to consider that we are shooting off our noses to spite our faces if we think that we can affect CO2 emissions by demanding that the cleanest countries (The Americas and those in Western Europe) clean up THEIR acts before we demand the same of the dirtiest countries (China and India).

Forgive me for the redundancy, but this effort makes sense only to liberal Europeans and like-minded Americans.  The Chinese and Indians will resist the effort, of course.  More power to them!

What's Happening with the Democratic Party NOW!!!

What's happening is a battle between New School Liberals (The Clintonistas) and the NEWEST School Liberals (The Obamazens).  The NSLs are still dancing over the defeat of the OSLs with whom they have fought since days of Camelot.  No idea WHY they are dancing over the victory because these people are dying EVERY day!

Anyway, a new threat has appeared on the horizon: Obama - that's Barak to those of you in Rio Linda.

Hillary has paid her debts to her husband, and now is the time for her to take-the-helm of the Oval Office.  This is why there is such resistance and in-fighting among the democrats.  Hillary expected all liberals to bend over and kiss her ring on the way down.  Obama is providing Newest School Liberals who are tired of a Clintonian Washington another option.

If the democratic party appealed to me, you would see me supporting Obama just for the fun of watching Mrs. Clinton jump through all the hoops she needs to jump to garner support of more Newest School Liberals, if she can.

A thought from a couple of years ago

My tiny brain put this posting together a little more than two years ago, and it has sat in the inbox for one of my accounts ever since.

Enjoy.

When you think back to the attitudes that prevailed in pre-war Europe
prior to the rise of Naziism and Hitler in Germany, it can only lead you
to realize that the leaders then and now share the same "devil may care"
attitude.

Most of Europe turned a blind eye to Hitler's efforts to strengthen
Germany's military, much like most of Europe recently turned a blind eye
to Saddam's strengthening of his military might.  Chances are that most
of the former Iraqi might now resides in neighboring countries, like
Syria - perhaps even Iran.  Let's not forget the Persians!

People today still wonder in amazement about how Hitler came to power
more than 70 years ago.  They need only look east!  The European
continent is awash in this same "devil may care" attitude, and some of
it has washed up on shore here among our "intelligentsia."

As they are wont, these people, aided with hindsight binoculars and
microscopes, are amazed when they study Hitler's rise to power.  Yet,
they can't see the same attirude alive and kicking among the European
leadership today.

It was this "devil may care" attitude that allowed Hitler to send the
Jews to the gas chambers.  The leaders just thought to themselves, "Who
cares about the Jews?  They are slum dwellars anyway!"

As a grandson of one of those slum dwellars who left from Europe long
before Naziism took hold, this attitude offends me.  We are told now
that giving freedom to oppressed people is a mistake!  How in the world
can anyone be so near-sighted as to believe that?

Did anyone give us our freedom in the late 17th century?  Nope!  People
like these have existed all throughout time!  They were hedging their
bets during the  American revolution in case GW stumbled or Corwallis
got lucky!

A more recent example of this "devil may care" attitude was that
exhibited by the media while Elian Gonzalez was still living in Miami.

Now The Chinese Want to Build Jumbo Jets!

Bring it on!  The Chinese have decided that the country can build passenger jets as well as Boeing/Airbus.  Boeing is a publicly-owned corporation here in the U.S. and is one of the stocks in my portfolio.  Airbus has decided to develop the A380, which is GREAT, but my fear is that it will take longer than they expected to turn a profit on this adventure, and its share-holders will want a few heads.  The use of the A380 may be so expensive for its customers due to the changes in airport layout that the plane will demand due to its huge passenger capacity, but let's save this discussion for a later time.

Boeing turned its back on the super-jumbo idea, wisely, and opted for the 787.  These are nice planes, and their market research will prove correct.  It's only a twin-engine plane and will be a boatload cheaper to fly than that boheamoth A380.

The Chinese are acting like three-year-olds in that they think that they can have something like a super-jumbo-jet if they wish for it hard enough!  Mao already tried this in the '50s with his ham-fisted takeover of his coutry's steel industry, and people ALL over the country starved due to the quality of the product.  The material "the people" produced was too low of a grade for it to be used productively,  and the country starved due to it being unable to produce food at previous levels.

As it is often-said, those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it.  For those of you too short-sighted to remember or study late Communist Chinese history, things your high school history book felt that you didn't need to know, really, China has tried this before.

Mao's "new world order" of the '50s and '60s convinced the people that they were capapable of producing the SAME exact product, in this case, STEEL, that a large company could produce, but in Mao's China, there is no need for a middleman.  Communist dogma went "BELIEVE and you can ACHIEVE" should those terms also rhyme in Mandarin!  Communism tells its followers that they need only to BELIEVE that their product is equal to the commercially-produced product, and it will be so.

Sure, they produced STEEL, but what Mao FAILED to explain to his people was that there are grades to steel, and the steel that his people produced on their own was at the lowest end of the spectrum - utterly useless.  In Mao's eyes, however, and for the good of his Communist party, if it looks like steel and feels like steel, then it MUST be steel.  MILLIONS of people DIED due to this effort because the country could not produce the equipment it needed to manufacture the products his "revolution" demanded due to the low-grade steel that they produced.  People STARVED to death!  Ha!  Mao carved, and people starved!  *laughter*

There are so many regulations associated with commercial aircraft, too!  These commies think that they can enter such a market and bully their customers into buying their planes or bully their people to FLYING on the planes?  It won't work.  It will be a novel idea if they can get it to work, but you wouldn't see me buying stock in the insurance companies their test pilots use!

The FRAUD of Liberalism Has A LOT In Common With That of Islamofacism

Has anyone else noticed that both liberals and islamofachists share something in common?  BOTH want our societies to return to days-gone-by.

One set of liberals, the OSLs for those of you who have read REALLY far back in the collection of blogs here, wants to see U.S. society return to the '30s and the NSLs want to see the U.S. return to the '60s ideals.  The islamofascists want to see us return the 700s A.D.

Some out there will argue that conservatives aren't so innocent here either in that we want to return to the glory days of the '50s society.  Perhaps all groups have their own goals because the homos among us would mind seeing society return to the glory of Rome when male sexual interaction was as common as seeing Britney drop trou today!  *laughter*

So, perhaps you have to ask yourself, "Which period of his(her)story is most appealing to me?" before you enter the voting booth.

Another issue dawned on me this morning and it has to do with our childhoods.  Does anyone remember when growing up how there was one kid in the neighborhood for whom his parent(s) would buy everything he wanted.  He always had the best toys.  Well, any chance you remember his attitude back then?

Wasn't this little spoiled brat, usually with divorced parent, always the type who would take his toys and go home whenever the other kids in the neighborhood didn't play "the game" the way that he wanted to play it?  Doesn't this sound familiar?  Sounds like the DIMocrats, if you ask me.  The insurgents in Iraq are not playing (fighting) the way the dims want them to be fighting, and the dims want to take their toys (U.S. forces and material) and go home.  That will show the enemy something!

This is exactly what the Dims want the U.S. Forces to do!  Need more be explained?

What If We Elect a Democratic President, And Terrorists Strike Again?

On whom will the media blame the attack?  Care to guess?  Take a shot?

Blame will be placed, squarely, on the shoulders of GWB.

Nine months into his administration, the media blamed him for 9/11 after Billy Bob sat around for eight years with his thumb up-his-butt as terrorists killed people by blowing up U.S. embassies in Africa and attacking a U.S.N. ship - the U.S.S. Cole.  Clinton's response to all of this?  Flatline.

Then, nine months into GWB's administration, the SAME terrorists who saw to the Clinton era attacks, opened up a larger can of whoopass on the U.S. mainland on that bright and sunny September morning in '01.

You just wait!  Hopefully, this never comes about, and GWB is doing his damnedest to keep us safe here at home by throwing democracy into the faces of the terrorists where they live: Iraq and Afghanistan.  Again, due to the geography of the area, Iran may be the NEXT country to fall, and not a single shot will be fired by a U.S. soldier.

Hell, the former Iranian "leadership" will probably be asking for PROTECTION from the U.S. soldiers stationed in both Iraq and Afghanistan as their people start to realize just how well the people in Iraq and Afghanistan are doing under this new for of government - democracy.

If you think about it, this MAY be what GWB et al had in mind after all.  They realized that they would have to take the good with the bad and accepted the terrorists attacking in concentrated neighborhoods among certain cities, like Baghdad for example.

The Iraqis who get tired of the daily bombings and death can move to quieter parts of the country and start their new lives there free of the terrorists' bloodshed.  After a while, only the terrorists will be left, and the clean up will be a piece-of-cake.  Everyone wins!

The Usual Liberal Double-Speak

Can anyone out there remember how the media described the Clinton administration ten to 15 years or so ago?  TRUTH was a common theme back then with terms like "truthfulness" and "truthteller."  Bah!  These "truthy" people were LIARS.  Someone whom the media described as possessing "truthfullness" was lying from between his/her teeth.  This is Clinton code, people, since they couldn't use the term "honest."  You used the term "truthful" if you wanted others "in the know" to understand that this person was telling a yarn.

You can still apply this ideal to democratic objectives today.  It is a little more convoluted today, however, but if you can see "An Inconvenient Truth" as "A Convenient Lie," then you are headed in the right direction.  That's all this is.  Thankfully, the people who get other people chattering about topics chose to get the chattering classes doing their jobs about the heat wave that Mars is experiencing currently after Algore gets an Oscar for his movie - "A Convenient Lie."  Those of us who knew about this heat wave on Mars have know about it for the last five or ten years because we have kept our eyes open and brains working while scanning the Drudge Report or Yahoo News.

It just strikes me as odd that a big stink is made about it now!

What happened to the Jesus of my childhood?

Is it only I, or do others out there feel that Jesus, has become less concerned with the state of our collective faith and more concerned about the state of his church over the last 20 years or so?  Perhaps it is an issue of perspective.

For some reason, my tiny brain remembers Fr. Price giving some really good sermons at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Boca Raton during my pre-teen and teen years when my father would take my younger brother and sister and me to church on Sundays.  Jesus seemed to be an achiever back then.  He was a butt-kicker who took names and asked questions AFTER he did what he needed to do.  Fr. Price is no longer working at this church, for those of you who Google him.  The wife and I did go back to the old church a little more than a year ago to visit, and it was nice.  My memory didn't recognize a soul there, however.

Thankfully, the liturgy at St. Gregory's still came from the Bible.  If you were to attend some churches out west, however, you would find them, for example, reading from "Dave's Book of Really Good Stories" - not scripture.  At least this was the case in the few times that interviews in the past had me visiting churches in Phoenix or Tucson, AZ.  The company would fly me up on a Saturday night, pay for a full weekend stay at the hotel, and the interview would be on Monday.  Flight would leave in the afternoon on Monday.  No big deal.

The episcopal dioscese here hasn't faired much better with the recent election of a homo-loving bishop.  She says, basically, that we are to love all humans regardless of their sexual orientation.  Amen to that!  But, aren't they the ones who need to change and be "brought to the light."  It's not our goal as parishoners to accept everyone who walks into the door as an apostle and change OUR ways to suit his or her needs.  Jesus asked his disciples to be rocks in the swift river of human emotion and to build his church upon these rocks so that it would not move to the rythm of the tides or outside influences like homosexuality or abortion, for example.

So, my wife, who is a Catholic, steared our Sunday activities to the local Catholic church, and we forgo the local Episcopal church entirely.  We used to attend BOTH churches on Sundays, but the schedules never synched really well.  So we were usually late for the latter service.

So, enough of this for now.  When my brain considers another point on which it needs to touch, another blog will be written.

Why Can't They Keep Their Pieholes Shut?

The Dems are at it again.

They are trying to tie the President's hands.  All attempts prior to this have failed because even though they have a "majority" to control the House, that majority is by the slimest of margins, and no republican is going to be known as the "One Who Let the Liberals Have Their Way" among his contemporaries in the Republican party.

As an earlier post stated, the Dems are realizing now that they need Iraq OUT of the War on Terror, because if the coalition wins there, there will NEVER be another Democrat in the Whitehouse for a generation or two.  Much to Hillary's chagrin, she is just realizing this now and demanding that all the '08 Democrat candidates who, in '02, voted FOR the war get a mulligan before the primaries start so that they can tell their potential contribtors that they voted FOR it BEFORE they voted AGAINST it.  Doesn't this ring familiar to those of us who remember the '04 elections?

It is funny to watch Hilary squirm when it comes to Obama.  He is taking "her" money away from her by telling his "potential" Hollywood contributors that he would have voted against giving Bush the ability to take the war to Iraq in '02, and the NSLs in Hollywood are eating out of his hand.  She blew her stack when Geffen accused both Bill and her of being liars.  We conservatives have been doing it for nearly 15 years, but our comments don't kick up too much stink anymore.

To these Hollywood contributors, hearing a candidate speak like this is like their first exposure to crack or heroine.  They want more, more, more...

As stated in an earlier posting, Bush wants Iraq to become an oil-funded democratic ally to Afghanistan since the latter has no access to oil itself and would not be able to defend itself against an oil-funded foe, like Iran.  The genius to Bush's plan is that he is placing the democratic bookends of Afghanistan and Iraq to the volumes of tyranny in Iran.  It's gucking fenious!  His plan is to watch Iran collapse from within in about four or five years.  He won't get a Nobel prize nomination for this because he "killed" so many soldiers in the process of bringing democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan.  Carter only killed the crews of a few helicopters back in the late '70s.

Wikipedia just told me that Karzai in a Sunni muslim.  None in Baghdad seems to care enough to rid the country of the terrorists doing the bombing.

These people who are doing the bombing ought to be taken out of their caves, bound, and delivered to the local law enforcement division.  Let the courts there determine their fates much like they determined Saddam's fate.
